Tongan Language week!

Room 25 have participated in lots of Tongan activities this week starting off with a Tongan scavenger hunt, followed by a Tongan Kahoot, then we created Tongan art with our buddy class and everyday we have greeted each other in the Tongan Language.

  1. Kia ora Room 25. One thing that I learned is that 100,000 Tongans live in Tonga but over 200,000 Tongans live in other countrys!

    Abdi here from Room 25.
    This week I've learnt alot of different things about Tonga. Did you know that Tonga was settled by the polynesians and the King of Tonga is King Tupou. I also have learnt that The Royal Palace is North west at the capital of Tonga, Nuku Alofa.

    tonga was settled at 500 B.C. Thats all

  11. Kia Ora Room 25, My name is Isabella-Charis if you don't know!!!
    I learnt lots. Here is my answers!!! The two animals that are mythical are a Rat and a Octopus! The king of Tonga is called King Tupou Vi. They adopted the flag in 1875!

    We did do lots of fun things, But one of the things i learnt is that there is 169 islands in Tonga and they are split into the 3 main islands, the 3 main islands are called Vava'u, Ha'apai and Tongatapu.

  14. Kia ora room 25. My name is Milo from room 25. I remember when i played the scavenger hunt. Here is one fact that i found out: Did you know that Tonga is made up of 169 islands? It's crazy how much islands that is! The Tongan kahoot was awesome and really fun! I enjoyed playing it and i hope i have the chance to do another one some other day. Maybe next time say what your favorite thing about Tonga. Anyways blog ya later, Milo

  16. Hello Room 25 it is me Kezia here and I learnt so many new thing's in Tongan Language week. And here are a few thing's that I Learned. I learned what is the official name of Tongan is and it is Kingdom of Tongan, How many islands make up Tongan is four. That is all I am going to tell you today. Tongan Language week was so much fun.
